ERNi-1 is a nickel-based solid Welding Wire designed for GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) welding processes. It is primarily used to weld nickel 200 and 201 alloys, and it can also be used for joining nickel to dissimilar metals such as stainless steels, carbon steels, or copper-nickel alloys. The wire offers excellent resistance to many corrosive environments, particularly in caustic alkali solutions, acidic media, and marine conditions.

ERNi-1 is optimized for:
TIG Welding (GTAW): With 100% Argon shielding gas, it produces precision welds and is preferred for thin-walled or high-purity applications.
MIG Welding (GMAW): Provides higher productivity and continuous welding for larger fabrication tasks, using Argon or Argon-He with 1–2% O₂ or CO₂ mixtures.

The ERNi-1 welding rod works by melting and fusing with nickel or compatible base metals, forming a corrosion-resistant joint with excellent metallurgical bonding. Its pure nickel base gives it low electrical resistivity and high thermal conductivity. The low levels of sulfur, silicon, and carbon minimize the formation of brittle phases or weld cracking, even under thermal cycling or stress.
