Production Description
The nominal composition (wt%) of ERNi-1 weld metal is 96Ni, 3Ti. This filler metal is used for welding commercial pure nickel (according to ASTM standards B160, B161, B162 and B163, UNS N02200 and N02201) forgings and castings by gas tungsten arc welding, gas metal arc welding, submerged arc welding and plasma welding. When using these welding methods, the filler metal contains enough Ti to control the porosity in the weld metal.
ERNi-1 weld metal is used for nickel 200/201 welding, has corrosion resistance, and is suitable for a variety of welding methods and dissimilar joints. It is suitable for trays, baskets and fixtures, etc., with various welding positions, and the shielding gas is MIG75%Ar/25%He or TIG100%Ar.
Characteristic
For welding of nickel 200 or 201.
Also used for overlaying of steel and repairing cast iron castings.
It can also be used for dissimilar joints between nickel or nickel alloys and stainless or ferritic steels.
Has good corrosion resistance, especially in alkalis
Matching nickel base alloy: NO2200, NO2201, 2.4060, 2.4061, 2.4066,2.4068.
Dissimilar welds: nickel alloys to low alloy/CrMo/stainless steel.
Cladding: surfacing a wide range of steels, and also as a buffer layer.
Cast iron: can prove useful on a range of cast irons.
Applications:
Trays, baskets, and fixtures are utilized in various heat treatments such as carburizing and carbon nitriding.
Refractory anchors, strand annealing and radiant tubes, high-velocity gas burners, etc.
Insulating cans in ammonia reformers and catalyst support grids utilized in the nitric acid manufacturing process.
Preparation process
The preparation process of ERNiCu-7 welding wire usually includes the following steps:
Raw material preparation: Select high-quality metal raw materials to ensure that their chemical composition and physical properties meet the requirements.
Alloy smelting: Put the raw materials into the arc melting furnace for smelting, control the smelting temperature and atmosphere, and ensure that the alloy composition is uniform.
Wire drawing: The smelted alloy liquid is drawn into welding wire of the required diameter through a wire drawing machine.
Surface treatment: Clean and treat the surface of the welding wire to remove oxides and impurities and improve welding quality.
Optimization of the preparation process can improve the quality and performance of the welding wire, reduce production costs, and improve production efficiency.
