Nickel Based Welding Wire
Product Details
ERNiCrMo-3 welding wire is a high-performance nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy filler metal specifically designed for welding corrosion-resistant materials such as Inconel® 625, Incoloy® 825, and other similar Ni-Cr-Mo-based alloys. Known for its exceptional resistance to both oxidizing and reducing chemical environments, ERNiCrMo-3 ensures reliable weld integrity even in the most aggressive conditions including seawater, sour gas, and chemical processing systems.
Unlike conventional stainless steel filler metals, ERNiCrMo-3 provides superior protection against localized attack such as pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in chloride-rich environments. Its excellent high-temperature strength and oxidation resistance make it suitable for service conditions up to 1000°C (1830°F).
Outstanding Corrosion Resistance
With its optimized Ni-Cr-Mo-Nb chemistry, ERNiCrMo-3 protects weld joints from severe chemical corrosion and chloride-induced cracking.
High Mechanical Strength
Welds retain excellent tensile and yield strength even at elevated temperatures, ensuring structural reliability.
Superior Weldability
Smooth arc characteristics, minimal spatter, and low fume generation provide ease of welding for both TIG and MIG processes.
Versatility Across Applications
Ideal for joining dissimilar metals, repairing high-value components, and fabricating critical process equipment.
Compliance with International Standards
Meets AWS A5.14 ERNiCrMo-3, ISO 18274 S Ni 6625, and equivalent specifications.

ERNiCrMo-3 is suitable for both GTAW (TIG) and GMAW (MIG) processes:
TIG Welding
Recommended for high-quality welds in critical applications, especially where precise heat input control is required.
MIG Welding
Offers higher deposition rates for large-scale fabrication projects.
Preheat and Interpass Temperatures:
Generally not required for Ni-base alloys unless base metal dictates.
Post-Weld Heat Treatment:
Not necessary for corrosion resistance, but may be performed for stress relief in specific cases.
Chemical and Petrochemical Processing
Used extensively in piping, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels that handle aggressive chemicals, including sulfuric, phosphoric, and hydrochloric acids.
Marine and Offshore Engineering
Ideal for seawater systems, desalination plants, and offshore platforms due to its excellent resistance to chloride-induced pitting.
Power Generation
Applied in boiler tubes, superheaters, and turbine components operating at elevated temperatures.
Oil and Gas
Essential for sour gas environments where hydrogen sulfide exposure demands superior stress corrosion resistance.
Nuclear Industry
Suitable for reactor components requiring high integrity and corrosion resistance under radiation and high temperature.
